Prudential Singapore Presents – “An Introduction to Wills”

Prudential Assurance Co Singapore (Pte) Ltd invited Yeo-Leong & Peh LLC to present a talk on “An Introduction to Wills, an overview of Wills, Probates and Trusts” at their recent monthly meeting with their Financial Consultants. The presentation was held at Fuji Xerox Towers on 8 December 2009. It was conducted by Mr. Ong Boon Kiat, our lawyer who does Family Law matters. He was assisted by Mr Madan Mohan and Ms Cai Hai Ying. The main points covered were: Why do people make a Will; Terminology; Purpose of a Will, Validity of Will; Revocation of previous Wills; Appointment of Executors and Trustees; The beneficiaries; The estate; Effect of marriage and divorce on a Will; Insurance policies & CPF Funds; Simple Will, Complex Will and costs; Wills Registry; Probate. The session was well-received by Prudential’s Financial Consultants, several of whom posed many interesting questions to Mr. Ong after his presentation, and he provided the answers both patiently and skillfully
