U.S. and International Regulatory Reform Efforts in Response to the Financial Crisis.

On 17 November 2009, Professor Hurley delivered a Talk on U.S. and International Regulatory Reform Efforts in Response to the Financial Crisis. at the MAS Auditorium. During the talk, Professor Hurley discussed several issues including the Obama Administration’s White Paper on Financial Regulatory Reform and subsequent developments; Financial Sector Reforms outside the US, and the future of the notion of “Too Big to Fail”. The talk was followed by a dialogue session moderated by Ms. Mimi Ho, Principal, Regulatory Professionals Pte Ltd. The Talk was very well attended by more than 130 people representing local and overseas banks; financial regulatory bodies such as IBF, MAS, local universities, law firms and others.
