Yeo-Leong & Peh LLC is pleased to announce the launch of the above book on 26 October 2005 in Singapore. Together with Ernst and Young, we will be donating a total of 1,000 copies of the book to help the ASEAN Children's Foundation (Singapore) support the Children’s Cancer Program of the National University Hospital Endowment Fund.
The book is the result of the joint efforts of Yeo-Leong & Peh LLC and Ernst & Young and came about through the inspiration and support of the International Enterprise (IE) Singapore and the Chinese Embassy in Singapore.
It is written in the Chinese language and is intended to be a general reference for individuals and companies interested to set up businesses in Singapore.
This book comprises two sections. The first seeks to explain in layman’s terms the individual and company’s rights and obligations, whilst the second examines the tax implications.
The legal section provides an overview of the legal system in Singapore and focuses on the laws relating to contract, company, property, employment, immigration, import and export trade, bankruptcy, recovery of debts, mediation and arbitration.
The tax section elaborates on individual and corporate taxation in Singapore.

The book also contains other forewords by Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister of Trade and Industry, Singapore; Ambassador Zhang Yun, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Singapore; HE Li Zhi Qun, Minister Counsellor, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Singapore; Mr Lee Yi Shyan, CEO, International Enterprise Singapore and Mr Ong Yew Huat, Partner, Ernst & Young Singapore.
《新加坡法律与税务手册》是由新加坡国际企业发展局和中国驻新加坡大使馆经商处共同推出的《新加坡经贸投资指南》系列丛书的第二本。杨梁白律师事务所负责本手册法律部分的编写，安永会计师事务所负责本手册税务部分的编写。
本手册作者介绍了在新加坡投资经商所涉及的相关法律知识, 包括商业主体、商业合同、知识产权、房地产、劳动与移民、进出口、个人与公司破产、债务追索以及争议的解决。本书的出版将对有意来新加坡投资经商的中资企业和个人了解新加坡相关法律有所帮助。
