As a lecturer of Law Faulty of Ningbo University, Xu Jian Hong had taught several courses such as Introduction to International Economic Law, International Tax Law, International Technology Transfer and Maritime Law. Meanwhile, he participated in several books writing such as Newly Edited Chinese Foreign-concerned Economic Law (chief editor, published by law publishing house in 1995), International Civil Litigation & International Commercial Arbitration (published by Wuhan university publishing house in 1994) and published several articles.

He speaks Mandarin and English, as well as Shanghai and Zhejiang dialect.

Xu Jian Hong graduated with LL.B from Fudan University of People's Republic of China in 1988 and was subsequently employed to be a teacher by Law Faculty of Ningbo University for his outstanding academic performance. He was selected by Ningbo University to the Law School of Wuhan University to study International Economic Law and Private International Law during 1992-1993. In 1996, he was awarded a scholarship of McGill University and began his postgraduate studies International Commercial Law in the Institute of Comparative Law of McGill University. He graduated with LL.M in 1997.

Xu Jian Hong passed the China National lawyer qualification examination in 1988 and began practice as part-time lawyer in Xing Ning Law Firm (Zhejiang Ningbo). He mainly engaged in commercial and foreign-concerned economic legal issues and served as legal adviser to several companies.....
