David graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1995 and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor in 1996. He has been in active practice since, primarily in the areas of civil and commercial litigation.

David specialises in contentious commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on bankruptcy and insolvency work. He has advised companies, audit firms and banks in relation to issues and disputes pertaining to compulsory and voluntary liquidations, judicial management, receiverships, scheme of arrangements and voluntary arrangements. David has also represented banks and financial institutions in respect of mortgagee and debt recovery claims and has also represented corporate clients in domestic and international arbitrations under the ICC Rules and the SIAC Rules, landlord-tenancy disputes, employment disputes, shipping and admiralty claims.
